Celebrating Agatha Christie | Clubhouse Hangout

Co-Hosted by HarperCollins India

On the birth anniversary of the bestselling novelist of all time, we were joined by authors S J Bennett and Sourabh Mukherjee to discuss the vast body of work of Agatha Christie which shaped the contemporary mystery novel genre. An Agatha Christie themed quiz was also conducted the winners of which received a copy of their favourite Christie novel.

Born in Torquay in 1890, Agatha Christie became, and remains, the best-selling novelist of all time.
She is best known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, as well as the world’s longest-running play – The Mousetrap. Her books have sold over a billion copies in the English language and a billion in translation.

About S J Bennett
SJ Bennett is a British author who has written several award-winning books for teenagers before turning to adult mysteries. She lives in London and has been a royal watcher for years, but is keen to stress that these are works of fiction: the Queen, to the best of her knowledge, does not secretly solve crimes.

About Sourabh Mukherjee
Sourabh Mukherjee is an Indian author of four psychological thriller novels, including one in Bengali, and three short story collections. His books have been adapted into audiobooks and considered for television.

The session was moderated by Rohan Raj, co-founder of Booknerds.
